TRASH PICK UP FOR THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 4TH WILL BE ON TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 6TH DUE TO LABOR DAY BEING ON MONDAY. 

Council Meeting 7:00 p.m. each 1st Monday night in each month EXCEPT if a holiday falls on Monday. Information will be furnished when changes are made. All meetings are held in the Old Colbert School Auditorium.

RED CANNA PARK COMMITTEE MEETINGS WILL BE HELD THE SECOND AND LAST THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH. MEETINGS WILL BE HELD AT THE TRAIN DEPOT AND WILL BEGIN AT 6:30 P.M.  MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND RESIDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. ALSO DONATIONS FOR THE PARK MAY BE MAILED TO: RED CANNA PARK CORPORATION-P.O. BOX 693 COLBERT, GA 30628 DONATIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE; THERE IS ALSO AN ACCOUNT SET UP AT THE COMMERCIAL BANK IF YOU PREFER TO MAKE A DONATION IN PERSON. A PARK WEBSITE IS IN THE WORKS ALSO!! WE WILL POST A LINK TO IT AS SOON AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE.

TRASH PICK-UP ANNOUNCEMENTS:  Trash will be picked up on Martin Luther King Day.  No Trash Pick-up on July 4 (if on Monday), Memorial Day, or Labor Day. All trash picked up on Tuesday following holiday closings. Trash Pick-up is Monday of each week unless announced. Please have trash out by 7:00 a.m. If you are interested in recycling, please take it to Madison County Landfill.  They have a designated building for recycled items.

Burn permits can be obtained October 1st. To obtain a burn permit call 1-877-652-2876. 

New Name for Old Colbert School - COLBERT MUNICIPAL COMPLEX

LEASH LAW:  City of Colbert has a leash law in effect.  All dogs must be on a leash or contained in a secure pen.  Dogs allowed to run on street is subject to be picked up by Animal Control and a fine of up to $1000.00 can be imposed.
